چکیده

Humic acid (HA) has a complex chemical composition and the ability to chelate, adsorb, exchange ions with organic inorganic contaminants in bodies of water, which worsens water quality poses threat human health environment. In this research, an Ultraviolet-activated sodium perborate (UV/SPB) symbiotic method was developed eliminate humic water. The major synergistic degradative processes were investigated, as well impact starting concentration, dose, primary pH value on elimination. Results indicate that just 0.5 % 1.5 eliminated mostly by sole UV (SPB) methods, respectively. More effectively than other UV/SPB removed efficiency 88.83%. An experiment using free radicals mask them revealed catalyst for removal is hydroxyl radical generated activation. excitation-emission matrix spectroscopy, Ultraviolet-visible absorption (UV-Vis) spectrum, absorbance ratio values, specific values (SUVA), performance findings demonstrated method's capability degrade mineralize acid.

Humic acid removal from aqueous solutions by peroxi-electrocoagulation process

Background: Natural organic matter is the cause of many problems associated with water treatment such as the presence of disinfection by-products (DBPs) and membrane fouling during water filtration. In this study, the performance of the peroxi-electrocoagulation process (PEP) was investigated for the removal of humic acids (HAs) from aqueous solutions. Methods: PEP was carried out for the remov...

Application of Electron Beam/MnII Process for Humic Acid Removal from Aqueous Solutions

Introduction: Natural organic matters (NOMs) existing in water resources led to various problems such as formation of disinfectant by-products (DBPs). Humic matters like humic acid (HA) are component of NOMs that should be removed from water. Advanced oxidation process (AOPs) is one of the NOMs removal methods. The aim of this study was to survey the degradation of humic acid by electron beam i...

Membrane bioreactor process for removing biodegradable organic matter from water.

This research investigated a membrane bioreactor (MBR) process for removing biodegradable organic matter (BOM) and trihalomethane (THM) precursors from pre-ozonated water. Bench-scale and mini-pilot-scale MBR experiments were conducted using powdered activated carbon (PAC) and acclimated biomass. Dissolved organic carbon (DOC) was removed through a combination of adsorption and biodegradation m...
